Nature adds YEARS to your LIFE,

and LIFE to your YEARS!

About-Us.png

Located along the Trans Canada Highway, minutes Northwest of the bustling community of Wawa, Ontario, you will find Catfish Lakefront Cabins.  The cabins and grounds sit lakefront on its namesake, Catfish Lake.  Despite the ease of access, the property provides quiet comfort and privacy with no neighbors nearby.  Relatively calm, the lake is 2 miles long and is home to Walleye (pickeral), Northern Pike, and Lake Trout.  Catfish Lakefront Cabins is equipped with a private boat launch and dock for guests, and a beach area to escape the summer heat.  Open from mid-Spring to mid-Autumn we invite you to stay with us while you enjoy all that West Algoma and the north shore of Lake Superior has to offer!

MEET THE HOSTS

Since 2021 Catfish Lakefront Cabins has been owned and operated by your hosts, Natalie & Lee Bryar - along with Lleyton, Lawson & Biscuit.  Born and raised just a short ride down Highway 17 in Marathon, the lure of North Superior drew the Bryar's back from a lengthy stay in Southwestern Ontario.  When not maintaining the ground or cleaning cabins, Lee is an avid fisherman who is happy to share 'fish tales' with the visitors.  Natalie can most likely be found with a good book and glass of wine on the dock.  The Bryar's welcome you to their home and will do whatever they can to make you feel like family during your stay!

About

THE CABINS

All eight housekeeping cabins share the same basic layout and amenities.  Each cabin is equipped with two bedrooms, a 3-piece washroom, kitchenette, and cozy living room.  Most cabins have a double bed along with two twins - if you require additional beds please contact management prior to your stay.  The bathroom has hot and cold running water, a stand up shower, sink and toilet.  The kitchenette is fully equipped with pots, pans, and dishes.  Full and apartment sized fridges, hot plate, microwave, toaster, coffee pots and outdoor barbecue are provided for guest use.  Complimentary satellite TV and WiFi are included for your convenience.  The best feature of the cabins is that each has a lake view - watch the fish jump, beavers swim, and if you're lucky maybe a moose or deer will stop by for a visit!

FISHING AND HUNTING

Fishing is a favorite pastime at Catfish Lakefront Cabins.  Try your luck for a trophy Laker, Northern Pike, or everyone's favorite meal - pan-sized walleye.  Catfish Lake is easy to navigate and prevailing winds keep the waters relatively calm allowing visitors to fish from small boats, canoes, kayaks, or drop a line straight off the dock! The successful angler can clean his or her catch at the fish cleaning hut.  If you prefer an adventure, the area is home to many lakes within driving distance home to many additional species of fish.

Catfish Lakefront Cabins sits within WMU 32 and borders WMU 33 as designated by the Ministry of Natural Resources.  Every year the area attracts hunters from far and wide who are after moose, dear, black bear as well as smaller game.  The cabins are an ideal home base for hunters looking to 'rough it in style'.
